Minutes

October 15, 2008

The meeting was called to order by President Jerry Hart at 3:40 p.m. at the Paroquet Springs Conference Center in Shepherdsville.

Bill Fountain gave an ISA report, stating that Tim Gamma is the new President Elect. The next conference site is Providence, RI. Bill asked that if anyone had any problems with ISA to please let him know. ISA members will need to pay for magazines in print in the future—they will be included in membership dues online. It was moved (Larry Hanks) and seconded (Wayne Estes) to appoint Bill fountain for another term as our chapter director. The motion passed.

The minutes of the October 12, 2007 meeting were read by Secretary Dino Kent. The minutes were approved.

Wayne Estes reported that the treasurer’s books were open to any member who wished to see them. He got a Master Card in his name for the organization as it is now the bank’s policy to NOT issue a debit card to a non-profit organization.

Larry Hanks will attend the Certification Liaison meeting in Champaign the 21-22 of October. Computer-based testing is coming soon on all exams at 8,000 sites worldwide.

Rick Denbo of Limbwalker Tree Care won the Kentucky Tree Climbing Championship this year. We had one woman compete in the Tree Climbing Championship this year, however it is questionable if she will attend ISA competition.
