General
Guidelines for KAA Logo Usage
A black logo is used when the background
color is less than 50% greyscale value. A white logo is used when the
background color is more than 50% greyscale value. Good common sense
applies when deciding which logo looks best on colors.
Logo Free Space
A "free space" should be observed at all times around the logo. This
space should be a measurement twice the height of the KAA text below the
initials. Any additional text should always be set outside this area.
Images may break the free space rule only when the image encompasses the
entire logo and spreads beyond the outside edge. In that case, the image
may print up to the outside edge of the logo but should never print
behind the logo. When printing an image behind the logo, the same
freespace rules apply and the image may not print beyond the outside
edge of the logo. Your printer should be able to explain the differences
in greyscale values or the use of "free space."
Logo Sizing and Text Use
The logo should not appear less than 1" in height. This is intended
to keep all text at a readable size. If the proper space is not
available, you may signify you are a member of the Association by using
the Association's name and the word 'member" above or below it instead
of the logo. In that case, the font should be sans serif (Arial Black
and Arial Regular are preferred).
